Whoever thought the clubbing world wasn’t full of intrigue, subterfuge and Machiavellian plots, however we introduce ***The Undercover Brother*** aka theQman and Six Sanity.
They are working secretly, changing Dance music from the inside and making it their own. Like the best double agents they hooked up with various promoters and give you the inside knowledge on their act and their passion.
The UnderCover Brother is Quinton Du Preez and Arthur Penhaligon, a collaboration of dance music enthusiasts taking music, manipulating it, mashing it up to bring you their own unique mixing style.
They both hail from Johannesburg in South Africa, crafting their individual styles in clubs like Idols, ESP, Evolution to name a few & playing in London at quality trance events like Trance Sanctuary, Strawberry Sessions, Electronic Sessions, Odyssey and La Dolca Vita events with IN:Volved in clubs like Ministry of Sound, Light Box (London), Arcadia. Ding alongside some of the best trance names to date Markus Schultz, John O’Callaghan, TyDi, LANGE, Jon O’Bir, W&W, Orjan Nilson, Nick Sentience and many more.
With their “if it doesn’t have a groove it’s not in the record box” attitude, and armed with controllers, mixer and a laptop, their sets explode into life to ensure the audience are taken on a journey.
They quote “We really get into our performances, especially when we put the right track in the mix or an effect comes off, as a lot of the time we are doing things on the fly for the audience to experience live”.
By bringing their own unique style of mixing The UnderCover Brother hope to reach a wide spectrum of audience who will appreciate their approach from song choice to spontaneity in the mix.
Their sets and sounds are crafted out at the TUCB HQ studio in East London; watch out for new material in 2012.
